This Privacy Notice explains how Proovd handles information when you visit our website, use our Open Graph tools, create an account, or contact us. We aim to collect only what we need to provide and improve the service, and we do not sell personal information.

What we collect and why

Account information: When you sign in, our authentication provider gives us the account details needed to recognise you and secure your workspace, such as your name, email address, profile image, and account identifier.

Preview information: When you ask us to preview a page, we receive the web address you provide and the information needed to display its preview. The page owner or hosting provider may also record a request from our service when we retrieve publicly available content.

Images and designs: If you use the image editor, we receive the image you choose to upload and the information needed to keep it available to you. Your designs and preferences may also be saved in your browser.

Waitlist and messages: If you join an early-access list or contact us, we receive the email address and message you choose to provide. We use this information to respond to you or send the updates you requested.

Device and usage information: We and our service providers may receive limited information about how the website is used, such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser, device, and security events. Optional analytics are used only where permitted and subject to your choices.

How we use information

Cookies and local storage

We use essential technologies to keep the service working, remember preferences, protect accounts, and save browser-only history or drafts. We may also use optional analytics technologies on selected pages. Where consent is required, optional technologies are enabled only after you make a choice. You can refuse or withdraw optional analytics consent without losing access to core features.

Some pages use third-party services for authentication, hosting, storage, fonts, security, or measurement. Those providers may process information such as your IP address and browser details when your browser connects to them. Their own privacy notices also apply.

Legal bases

Depending on the context, we process information because it is necessary to provide a service you requested, because you have given consent, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and securing Proovd, or because the law requires us to do so. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

Sharing and international transfers

We use carefully selected service providers to support authentication, hosting, storage, communications, security, and measurement. They may process information on our behalf and are permitted to use it only to provide their services to us. Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we use appropriate legal safeguards for those transfers.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Proovd or others, or as part of a business reorganisation, sale, or transfer of the service.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose described in this notice. Account information is retained while your account is active and for a limited period afterward where needed for security or legal obligations. Uploaded images are kept for a limited period and may be deleted sooner at your request. Waitlist information is kept until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or the relevant programme ends. Preview and support information is periodically reviewed and deleted when it is no longer needed. Browser history and drafts remain on your device until you clear them.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict, or provide a copy of your information. You may also object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or ask questions about how your information is used. To make a request, email [email protected] from the address associated with the request. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.

You can clear browser history and saved drafts using the controls provided in the product or through your browser settings. You can stop early-access messages using the unsubscribe option in the message or by contacting us.

Children

Proovd is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please avoid submitting information that you do not want processed through the service.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when the service or applicable requirements change. The date above shows when it was last revised. If a change is material, we will provide a more prominent notice where appropriate.
